Over on Modern Survival Online there is a great post about successfully talking to your friends and family about prepping. It can be frustrating
to see friends and family unprepared for
an emergency situation. It can be difficult talking to them about prepping when they don't share your enthusiasm. However, if you take the right approach, you can successfully talk about prepping with them. Some advice the post gives is to not focus on dates. Too many end of the world dates have come and gone. When people start hearing dates, you end up in the crazy category. Try to focus on things that might be relevant to them. Try the bad economy or common natural disasters to help get them started. Discuss a 72 hour kit...don't call it a bug-out bag...keep things as toned down as possible.
Definitely don't wear your gas masks! :)
