6 Reasons Why YOU Wont Survive an Emergency Disaster Situation

Over on The Survivalist Blog is a post called "6 Reasons Why You Wont Survive the Coming Collapse"

1. Overconfidence
A lot of people think that there survival skill set and knowledge is greater than what it really is.  Don't ever think that you know everything or don't have anything left to learn.

2. Procrastination
Don't put off prepping thinking you will make a quick run to the store in the event of an emergency or disaster situation.  You probably won't have time and everyone will be doing the same thing.  It will be crazy and dangerous.  Start prepping NOW!

3. Inefficient use of resources
Don't waste money on resources of lesser importance.  Prioritize!  There are those that spend thousands of dollars on guns and ammo and only have a couple of weeks supply of food.

4. Failure to act
Make a plan and then get going.  Look at you situation and come up with the best way to prepare you and your family for an emergency, then DO IT!

5. Lack of persistence
Prepping is not easy and can be expensive. Don't give up.  As mentioned before, look at your situation, make a plan and do what you can.  Be persistent and don't quit.  Be realistic and set prepping goals that you can reach.  Don't get carried away thinking you need a huge gun collection, a hummer to bug out in, a concrete bunker to hide out in and a ten year supply of mountain house freeze-dried foods.  Do what you can.  Something is better than nothing.  Keep working at it!

6. Divided actions
Many preppers run around like the chicken with its head cut off. Their actions are divided, to the point where they never get anything done. Focus on what is most important and get it done, then work on the next thing. Make a list.  Prioritize. Work down the list until your goals are completed.
